A visit to Mcleodganj is an absolute given ! Dotted with amazing cafes, shops selling souvenirs, a visit to the famous Namgyal Monastery (Dalia Lama Complex) and see the monks go about their daily rituals is a must. Participate in meditation and spin the massive Prayer Wheel. This is just 10 kms from the Tree of Life.

Up In The Sky

65 kms ( 2 hours) from Dharamshala is Bir Billing, one of the best known places for para gliding in India ! So put on your adventure gear and head out to Bir for an adrenaline pumping day.

That morning ‘cuppa’

Dharamshala ( Palampur) is home to several tea gardens which produce the highest quality for your morning ‘cuppa’. Visit one of the many tea gardens and stroll along the small trails with high mountains in the back drop. End your visit with some tea tasting and small gifts for those back home.

Bhagsu Waterfalls

For nature lovers and walkers, this is an ideal short side trip while staying at the Tree of Life. Just 12 kms ( 40 minutes) drive from us, this waterfall drops 30 meters and is a sight specially during monsoons. There is a bit of a climb to reach it halfway up the hill.

Yours Again Vows
Marriage holds a very sacred place in Indian society and renewing your vows in the traditional Indian way is something that will stay with you for a life-time. Just before sun set, two village women escort you singing traditional wedding songs to the beautifully decorated ‘mandap’. The priest takes you through the ceremony, chanting ‘shlokas’ from the Vedas around the ‘sacred fire’. This is followed by a private candle light dinner at the pool side.
