Culinary Journey

Our food is simple and hearty – Indian and Kumaoni fare – and cooked by dedicated full-time cooks in our large family kitchen. We take the anxiety about deciding what to eat away from you – you are on holiday, after all – but we take your preferences into account before cooking home style food for you at every meal.

Meals are served as follows:
08:30 – 10:00 Breakfast
12:30 – 14:00 Lunch
20:00 – 21:30 Dinner

(please note: this meal will be served in casseroles on the main dining table should you wish to eat after 10pm, because our hardworking staff need their rest too!)

For a small additional cost per person, our team will serve you some snacks if you need to nibble between meals. Of course, unlimited coffee & tea are available through the day.

Soft drinks are not included in the tariff and are available at cost; a limited choice of soft drinks is available at Garampani, so please do carry up with you any special requirements you might have. The same applies for any special dietary needs. Processed meats, whole wheat bread, special flours, juices and fruit, etc. – we’d suggest you bring all these with you when you come – all of which will be stored for you in the fridge and freezer in the kitchen.

We also suggest you carry up any wine or alcohol you’d like to enjoy – there is a very limited choice of beer and alcohol at Garampani.
